As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
Ability to navigate deep water and use watercraft like surfboards, paddleboards, and kayaks
Pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (e.g. 550-meter swim, 2-minute tread water)
Previous experience working with or teaching children is a plus
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred
Must be 18 years or older.
