As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water with basic knowledge of safety considerations
Skilled in deep water activities and competent in using watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Able to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam, including a 550-meter open water swim and 2-minute tread water without hands
Previous experience working with or teaching children is a plus
Red Cross or WSI certification preferred but not required
Must be 18 years or older
