As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfortable in and around open water and basic knowledge of safety considerations
• Comfortable in deep water with basic ability to use watercraft (Surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Able to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, tread water without use of hands - 2 min, etc.)
• Experience working with, or teaching children preferred
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred but not essential
• Must be 18+ years of age
