As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
Comfortable in and around open water and knowledgeable about safety considerations
Comfortable in deep water with basic watercraft skills (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam and work with children
Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred
Must be 18 years or older
